For my birthday, I got four months to birchbox, a subscription service. If you haven't heard of birchbox it is a beauty box that you sign up for and you get samples of products each month. You can customize your box so it is just right for you, for example if you have oily skin you can enter that into the survey you take when you sign up. I decided to make this blog post a little bit differently. I decided instead of typing all about these products, I would tell and show you these new products. Summer Bucket list!
1. Go on a trip in my/your state. I think there is lots to do around your area, so try and experience different things around you.
2. Go to a yoga class.
Yoga is relaxing and a fun workout.
3. Go on a hike.
You can go with friends or family to make this extra fun.
4. Go to a beach.
5. Swim in a pool.
6. Go to valleyfair/amusement park.
7. Volunteer, this year I am volunteering at a summer camp.
8. Go camping.
9. Finish 10 books.
10. Have a coloring day.
11. bake a cake. I want to make a cake like my funfetti cake I made. Maybe I will even do a blog post about it! funfetti cake
12. Go tubing.
13. Start taking more pictures.
14. Learn how to French braid.
15. Keep a journal.

Today I will be talking to you about eating healthy. I know the healthy lifestyle is not for everyone, but it is important to try and eat healthy sometimes. I am not saying you are fat and you need to lose weight, you are beautiful just the way you are. I am just trying to help inspire you to make healthy choices. Many factors play a part in eating healthy or eating junk food. For example if you had a bad day maybe you eat a bag of chips. It is okay to eat "bad" food sometimes, Everyone has off days. I will be telling you how to eat relatively healthy. ***Also note that I am not a nutritionist or a health expert.
My personal favorite is a healthy smoothie, now it is important to be aware that not all smoothies are the healthiest. Even smoothies from smoothie stores like Jamba Juice can be packed full of added sugar and artificial sweeteners. It is best to make homemade smoothies, if you want it to be better for you. Another healthy snack is Skinny pop. You are probably wondering what that is. It is popcorn that has lower calories and simpler ingredients to bring give you a "healthier" popcorn. I understand It is not super healthy, but compared to a bag of potato chips it is better. These snack ideas are if you are trying to become healthier.
Another quick and easy snack is trail mix. This snack is perfect for if your on the go and need an easy, but healthy snack. Trail mix can also unhealthy if it is more chocolate then nuts. I understand a little sweetness, but don't go overboard. My favorite is a kind from Trader Joe's, it has cashews, almonds and dried cranberries.

Hello, for today's post I will be incorporating more with my reading/writing side of my blog. Yesterday I posted about starting a journal. If you missed that post click here. Today I will be talking to you about books you should read. I will be talking about books from different genres and books for mostly teens.
The first book you should read is The Book Thief. I read this book in English this year, and I loved it. It is a historical fiction book about the Holocaust. This book shows a different point of view, that is not from a Jewish point of view. It shows true compassion and if you like sad books then this is a book for you. The book thief is 584 pages long. I know it is very long, but is such a good book. This book really opened my eyes on the holocaust. It is tragic, but a very powerful book.
The next book I would recommend is if you like realistic fiction, or if you like some romance. If you do then A Bend in the Road is perfect. This book was a good book if you like any books by Nicholas Sparks. One of my favorites is the Last Song. A Bend in the Road is a emotional book with a hint of mystery. The book is about Miles Ryan trying to find out who was the driver of the car that killed his wife. This book is not too long with 341 pages.
The next book is a mix of science fiction and a mix of realistic fiction. The Selection is like the bachelor meets the princess diaries. If you have not seen the bachelor that's okay, but the princess diaries??? What was your childhood like???
Moving on to the book, The Selection is about America entering in a competition to try and be the next princess and to marry Prince Maxon. The selection is a big deal for everyone. America recently broke up with her boyfriend, so she is unsure about doing this. She is chosen to be one of thirty five girls to go to the castle and try to win Maxon's heart. I love this book, and the best part is it is a whole series. The last book was released last week. This book has 336 pages, but I read this book in one weekend it was that good. I think is is my favorite book ever. I love all the other books I mentioned, but this is my favorite.

Hello everyone! Today I will be talking to you about starting a personal journal. I think journals are a great idea to keep track of your life, and where you are in your life. Step 1: Find a journal that will work or use a old notebook. I am all for recycling so you can totally use an old science notebook or even loose leaf paper. You can be creative with designing your journal and making it your own. Step 2: Figure out how you want to journal. You could have your journal be about your experiences/memories, or it could be about your daily life.It is really up to you to decide which way you want your journal to be. There are also many more options for journal ideas, so if you want you can research some of them. Step 3: Decide how often you want to write. I know it can get hard with school or work, but it is really relaxing to journal and it helps you take your mind off of things. I would recommend journaling as much as possible. I try to write in my journal everyday, but it usually ends up being every other day. Find a journaling schedule that works for you. Step 4: Remember this is for fun! This isn't like a school assignment that is due on Monday. Do this for your self. I think journals are also a good way to rant about any problems you are having, or it is a way lift yourself back up.

Today I will be reviewing a product I recently tried out. It is the Tarte lights, camera, flashes mascara. I love mascara so I was very excited to try a new mascara. Mascara is a great product if you don't like to wear a lot of makeup or if you want a natural look. It is also a good thing to try if your just starting out with makeup. Mascara really makes your eyes pop and it makes you look awake, if you have to wake up early like me. This certain mascara has two steps. The wand (or the brush) has two different types of bristles, for two different steps. The first step is to comb the shorter, denser side of the wand through your eyelashes. The next step is to apply the longer, firmer bristles through your lashes.
Do you see a difference in the bristles? It is hard to see in the picture, but it also says one and two on part of the wand. It is hard to explain what I'm trying to say. I think this mascara is a great mascara to try. It does not flake and it also stays all day. It adds length and volume. I give this mascara 9 out of ten stars. The one thing I do not like is the price, very expensive. Other then that I think this is a good product.
Now I will tell you a tip I have learned through pinterest. I have learned that if your mascara is drying out put it in a cup full of warm water for five minutes. This makes the mascara feel like it's brand new. It becomes smooth and easy to apply. I had the cup about three quarters of the way full. I don't know if it matters how full the cup is. If anyone can tell me the science behind this I would love to know why this happens/works.

I am so exicted for todays post. I have spent lots of time planning this post. I hope you enjoy it. I am posting outfits I have worn this spring so far. I hope you like them and get inspiration from this.
For outfit number one, it was a sort of rainy day. It was also sort of cold for spring. I wore a tanktop with a jean jacket over it. I think the jacket adds a lot to the outfit. I wore leggings with it to dress done the outfit. I paired my sperry's with the outfit to add a hint of summer to this outfit.

For outfit number to it was also colder then usual. We had a few days of bad weather here. I wore a plain white shirt and jeans. This is a pretty typical outfit for me. To spice up the outfit I added a floral scarf. I think it was a simple spring outfit. In this picture you can't see my shoes, but I am wearing my Sanuk's. If you have never heard of them they are sandals that have yoga mats as the sole of the sandal. These sandals are very comfortable and great for if your doing a lot of walking, but you don't want your feet to get hot in tennis shoes.
The next outfit is for when it is warmer outside. I wore a white sweater, this is a nice sweater for the in between winter and spring season. It is light and flowy. I also wore pink flowy shorts that have lace trim on the bottom. These shorts are surprisingly comfortable. I wore my sparkly sandals to complete this look.
